2020 MWEA/MO-AWWA Joint Annual Conference Has Been Postponed

MWEA and MO-AWWA are saddened to announce the postponement of the 2020 Joint Annual Meeting in an abundance of caution in response to the global Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak.

Due to the elevated risk of transmitting COVID-19 in group settings, utilities and companies across Missouri are instituting travel restrictions and both MWEA and MO-AWWA hold the health and well-being of our members and citizens as a primary driver in this decision. As public health professionals in water and wastewater, we believe it is important to slow the spread of this virus by reducing social contact in this critical time period.

We will be rescheduling the 2020 Joint Annual Meeting for August 22-26, 2020

All the details of this rescheduled conference are being developed. Please be patient as we adjust to the new dates and potential impacts on the venue.

All registrations and fees will be transferred to the new conference dates. If you have registered and are unable to attend due to conflicts with the rescheduled dates, a refund may be requested in writing.

Note, all hotel reservations made through our group block will be cancelled.  If you would still like to visit Margaritaville during the dates of the postponed conference you will need to make a new reservation. Our group block of rooms will not be available until March 25th for the rescheduled dates. Please contact Margaritaville directly at 1-800-826-8272 after March 26th to make new reservations for the rescheduled conference dates.

Mickey Bernard,

MWEA President
